Open Invitation
The IAM, District 98 Retirees Action Group, Region 5 welcomes you to come and join us for breakfast and a meeting. This is a group made up of retirees and run by retirees. We are the start up of what will become a state wide initiative with other regions falling in line with ours under the District Retirees Action Group. This group will be made up of delegates from each of the 6 regional groups.
This is our start up year and our main goal is to grow the membership so we can make a difference in everything from local to state to federal policies. We need to make our voices heard and we can’t do it alone. As a group you start to have leverage to make the changes needed to keep our hard earned benefits and stop the abuse by the insurance companies and others.
Our meetings have been changed to the third (3rd) Tuesday of every month. We are asking everyone who has joined to bring a retired friend, neighbor, or family member along to the next meeting. If you are receiving this invitation for the first time feel free to bring a friend along or come alone, either way we welcome you.
Our speaker this month will be Sister Maria Cordone who is Director of the Community Service and Retirees Department at the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
